The CR Blind Curling team travelled to Winnipeg last week to compete in the Western Canadian Championships. It was a 6 team event which included 2 teams from Edmonton, 1 from Vancouver, 1 from Prince George and 2 from Winnipeg. After a first game loss, CR went on to win the remaining games resulting in a 3 way tie after the round robin. After comparing the point for and against, CR came away with SECOND PLACE! Congratulations to the team of Brad, Jeremy, Arthur, Richard, Kelvin and coach Bruce. The team had the full Winnipeg experience of wind, snow, freezing temps and very good curling. Thank you to the Manitoba group for putting on a superb event. The CR team would like to thank the CR Curling Club and local business for their support which made this trip doable.
